The international fashion trade was active on Saga Furs’ first auction of the season. The two-day auction, that concluded today, was attended by over 200 buyers and on offer was some 280,000 certified Saga Fox and 35,000 Saga Finnraccoon skins in addition to some Karakul and Sable pelts.
The Blue Fox skins on offer today were 100% sold. We noted positively that the sales were distributed to different markets. The price levels of Shadow Fox decreased slightly but were significantly higher than with Blue Fox. The main buying came from China and the European fashion industry with strong support from Korea, Turkey and Russia.
Saga Furs will host its next auction on 8–15 March 2019 in cooperation with Fur Harvesters Inc. auction house.
