The Saga Sapphire and Silverblue minks were on offer today while the company continued its strategy to protect the price levels to stabilise the market. The overall offering of almost 700,000 Silverblue mink pelts were almost 80% sold to slightly easier prices compared to recent European levels.
Sapphire male pelts were almost 100% sold with slightly easier prices while females met some price resistance relative to the Saga March auction. The female collection was 60% sold.
China was the most dominant buyer with support from the European fashion industry and Korea.
Silverblue velvet Female Top Lot went to Jindo from Korea.
The auction will continue tomorrow with the sale of Brown and dark mink pelts.
