Today’s offering of Brown Classic males was nearly 100% sold under strong and widespread competition. Prices for most items fetched advancing prices compared to recent European levels. The Velvet collection was almost 90% sold at firm to slightly easier prices.
Strong interest for Black males resulted in an almost 100% selling with firm to slightly easier prices compared to recent European levels and taking the weakening of the dollar into consideration. Mahogany males were also sold to an active room with slightly easier prices.
China led the bidding throughout the day, supported by Turkey, Greece and Russia.
The auction will continue tomorrow with the selling of Black, Mahogany and Brown females.
