Preview in Seoul 2021 (PIS) was organized during 1-3 September at COEX Exhibition Centre in Seoul. PIS is one of the biggest fashion fairs in Korea which is organised by Korea Federation of Textile Industry along with sponsored by Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Seoul Metropolitan Government, Daegu Metropolitan City and KOTRA.
This year, PIS 2021 was organised as in 2-ways: online and offline. Online exhibition which started the event attracted around 5,000 visitors including 1,400 visitors from 66 countries overseas. Then it continued to bring a positive effect to offline exhibition as well which drawn 6,000 visitors during 3 days event. More than 200 companies from textile, fibres, apparel, accessories, digital textile and machineries etc. were presented during the fair. It was reviewed that PIS 2021 provided a great opportunity for both participants and buyers to interact with each other and to develop further business under the difficult circumstances.
Sustainability still the hottest topic among people
There is no doubt that sustainability is one of the key concepts in fashion industry nowadays which explains why many of participants from the fair introduced products or materials related to this topic. Saga Furs, as the pioneer and the leader in sustainability in the fur industry, presented our raw pelts along with the latest fur technique samples made by brilliant furriers from the Saga Furs Creative Hub.
Visitors were surprised to see how large assortments of fur types Saga Furs has to offer, and, also, how creative material the fur can be when using various different techniques. Also, lots of people were curious about the certification system, how the system works and how it is practiced in the fashion field.
Once again, it was easy to notice, that the large number of people are more and more interested in sustainability, reliable sourcing, where the goods they purchase are coming from etc. Therefore, we were very happy to introduce them our established certification system and explain why Saga Furs is leading the industry with this agenda. The fair provided a great platform to explain why fur is a perfect fit in the sustainable material category together with Saga Furs’ transparent supply chains.
Overall, Saga Furs attracted great deal of visitors from different fields such designers, textile brands, fashion brands and others working in the business.
