The company continued its strategy to protect the price levels to stabilise the market, with the sale of Silverblue mink yesterday and today. The overall offering met again selective buying, with 20% of the offering sold. White females achieved 30% sales. European White females achieved 30% sales while North American collection received strong resistance.
North American Pastels were the first type on offer today. While the same trend continued, the clearance was 35%. China was again the most dominant buyer with some support from Turkey, Korea and Russia. One third of the North American unique mutations were sold. China dominated the bidding with good support from the European fashion industry.
The Silverblue female Top Lot was bought by J&K International Ltd for Oriental Lady (東方貴族夫人), a high-end fur retail brand in China.
The auction will continue tomorrow with some 600 000 BLACKGLAMA minks.
