After careful assessment of the implications of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) and attentive listening to our customers, Saga Furs has decided to go ahead as planned and arrange the March-April auction. The selling days will be on 1-7 April with the inspection starting on 27 March.
However, the number of participants will be strictly limited mainly to registered brokers in order to minimize the risk and to meet the possible requirements of Finnish health and safety authorities. In order to control the number of visitors, we ask customers to pre-register to the auction at sagafurs.com. Buyers who have not pre-registered can unfortunately not be allowed to enter the auction.
As the COVID-19 (coronavirus) is still spreading in Europe, we will continue to closely follow the guidance from health officials. If it still becomes evident that the auction cannot be arranged, we can assure you that our intention is to make the skins available. We are working on an alternative way of selling the skins through internet.
