The Hong Kong International Fur Fashion Fair 2025 was held from February 19 to 22. This event is the largest fur fashion exhibition, serving as a platform for communication and cooperation between exhibitors and buyers. Additionally, the high reputation of Hong Kong manufacturers offers a unique advantage.
The main buyers attending are from China, South Korea, Japan and Russia. There has been a significant increase in the number of Russian customers, and their purchasing attitudes are now notably more positive compared to last year.
Fashion trends are beginning to emphasize the use of fur. Currently, production is at low levels, a slight increase in demand can significantly boost the entire market.
Fur Gala demonstrated the versatile possibilities of fur
This year’s Fur Gala theme was “Sustainable Glamorous”. It has been a focal point for fur garments since its inception. New designs demonstrate the infinite possibilities of fur.
Saga Furs presented Blue fox collections on stage that showcased fur’s versatility as a material for handbags and other accessories.
Sustainable Fur Design Competition emphasized recycling and upcycling
The competition aims to engage young designers by promoting recycling and upcycling concepts, including the redesign of vintage pieces while showcasing fur as a natural and sustainable material.
The winner of this competition was Mr. Wu Tung Lam from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He will be awarded a study trip to the Saga Furs Creative Hub in Finland.
Saga Furs’ booth showcased the latest fur designs
The Saga Furs’ booth is a gathering place for buyers and designers, showcasing a variety of fur crafts and exploring the latest designs and craftsmanship.
We were excited to welcome Mr. Timo Kantola, the Consul General of Finland in Hong Kong and Macau, to visit our booth and participate in the Fur Gala. This provided an opportunity for him to gain insight into our business and the current trends in fur fashion.
On the second day of the fair, Saga Furs hosted a gathering, inviting key customers and visitors to come together. It was a great opportunity to share insights about the market and discuss the latest fur trends. It was one of the highlights of the fair.
