A group of young rising fur business talents attended a grading course at Saga Furs during the March auction. For most of the participants, fur has been the family business for generations and Saga Furs grading expertise has been sought in order to successfully transfer fur business know-how to the next generation. This international group included representatives from Kastoria in Greece, as well as from China, Russia and the USA. In addition to learning the grading process for Saga® Mink and Fox, the week-long grading course included a thorough introduction to the company, its auction process and the product portfolio. The course also covered responsible fur farming in general and the Saga certification process and its criteria. Creative minds were inspired by Saga Furs Design Centre as the Project Manager Per Reinkilde showed some of the magic of fur crafting in the form of innovative fur techniques.
The course ended with a ceremony where all the professionals were credited with diploma given by the Saga Furs CEO, Mr. Pertti Fallenius, who was delighted to see the grading course “so full of future talent”.
