Even veteran furriers renew craft skills at Design Centre
Innov, formerly Lazarou-Vassou Furs, was established in 1965 and is now run by its third generation of furriers. Innov has gained recognition for excellent service, know-how and using top-quality materials.
Noted for its exquisite garments reflecting the sublime balance of classic craftsmanship and avant-garde appeal, the furrier has plans to boost sales in Europe and North America, and explore online opportunities. Around 95% of current manufacture goes to Russia.
New techniques and the imagination of Papathanasiou will result in fashions to be promoted via social media to reach a new generation of consumers.
Advancing technical skills to realize new ideas sure to attract a young audience
One area Innov focused on was exploring ways to combine fur types in alluring mixes of mink and fox.
The duo were pleased to find new techniques and craft ideas they will evolve further at home by integrating newly-acquired knowledge with their own creativity. Both stated how helpful the Design Centre staff had been in helping them reach their objectives.
