Saga Furs’ September auction featured a selection of the highest quality Saga® Mink, the Top Lot. The White Velvet Female mink Top Lot was bought by George Gkogkos from Abel Furs Dubai.
George Gkogkos represents the second generation in the fur manufacturing business. The company managed to purchase Top Lot, just like last year.
“The Top Lot pelts will be dressed in DM in Kastoria, Greece. Our in-house design team will then transform the exquisite pelts into a beautiful fur garment for one of our valued customers. Acquiring Top Lots is a testament to our dedication and commitment to superior quality,” says Apostolos Gkogkos, the founder of Abel Furs.
Abel Furs is known for its commitment to quality and a rich 30-year legacy. It caters primarily to women’s fashion, with a growing focus on menswear as well. The company was founded in 1994 in Siatista, Greece and then later expanded to Dubai in 1999.
Abel Furs prioritizes long-standing partnerships with suppliers like Saga Furs, ensuring the highest ethical standards and sustainable practices within the industry.
The White Velvet Female mink Top Lot is a prestigious acquisition for Abel Furs’. Last year, in September 2023, the company secured the Top Lot of Silverblue Velvet Female Mink.

Every year a new Top Lot prize is created in the manner of the Chinese Zodiac. It is considered a great way to connect with the community and showcase Saga Furs’ superior pelt quality and design techniques.
The fluffy Rabbit continues as the most popular Top Lot prize.
The year 2024 in the Chinese zodiac is the year of the Dragon. The 12 Chinese zodiac signs, in order, are Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig. The Top Lot buyer can freely choose the prize, and this season the fluffy Rabbit continues as the most popular one.
