Saga Furs hosted a customer seminar in February 2025 in Zeytinburnu district, the European part of the Istanbul. This is the area where the main fur manufacturers and dealers are concentrated. The seminar attracted participants from the fur industry, including both regular and indirect auction customers.
The participants were presented Saga Furs´ annual offering for the 2024/2025 season, details of the upcoming March auction, facts about global fur production, and current trends on major fur markets. During the seminar, plans were also announced to arrange the Aurora Project in Türkiye, focused on Blue Fox techniques, in near future. Türkiye is one of the important prospective markets, especially in terms of long-haired fur sales.
Supporting generational change in family businesses
The reason for holding the seminar was not only to inform about the evolving situation in the global fur business, but to serve the customers since changes are also taking place within companies. The young generation is now actively involved in fur trade related activity. In general, family businesses are very typical for the Turkish business culture.
High expectations for the March auction
Despite the ongoing unstable situation in the major export markets for Turkish garments in the East-Europe and Middle East, auction customers are awaiting the first live auction of the season. They consider the March 2025 auction attractive due to the offering of a collection of mutation foxes, and nowadays Saga Furs is the only one auction in the world where it is possible to purchase responsibly produced fur pelts.
