Saga Furs June auction continued today with the sale of Silverblue females. A collection of approximately 330.000 skins was 80% sold at slightly easier prices compared to recent European levels. Silverblue Velvet females were also 80% sold while Sapphire males were nearly 100% sold at firm prices. Sapphire Velvets were over 70% sold at 10% easier prices on average. Main buyer was China with good support from the Greek, Russian and Turkish markets.
The auction then continued with White minks. A very active room competed for the classic mink collection which was 100% sold at very firm to increasing prices. The fashion industry showed strong demand for white mink. A collection of 190 000 white velvet minks was also sold at firm to slightly easier prices, compared to recent European levels and taking the weakening of the dollar into consideration.
Saga Furs’ Top lot of 100% Certified White Female Mink was bought by Polar Furs for Funtastic Furs, NY.
The auction will continue tomorrow with Black, Mahogany and Brown males.
