Stars of international fashion in Shanghai

Saga Furs will host a gala fur fashion show on 21 October, featuring top fashion names such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Sonia Rykiel, Missoni, Roberto Cavalli, Peter Som, Michael Kors, Oscar de la Renta, Todd Lynn and Maurizio Pecoraro. The show will open the Nordic Fashion Week in Shanghai as a part of the Nordic Lighthouse project during the World Expo 2010.

“We work closely with top designers from all over the world, so this is an excellent opportunity to give Shanghai and all of China an event to remember by presenting the creations of some of our partners,” says Saga Furs CEO Jan Erik Carlson and continues: “Saga Furs entered the Chinese market around thirty years ago and we held our first fashion show in 1986.” Certainly, fur is an integral part of both Scandinavian and Chinese luxury culture. In both corners of the world, glacial winters have always called for warm, sumptuous furs; and furthermore, Saga Furs have formed close bonds with Chinese design schools and supports upcoming Chinese design talent and the fur and fashion industries as such to create the fur design of tomorrow.

Saga Furs Design Centre continues to find exciting new ways to use fur. Saga Furs shares innovation and new ideas with designers from all over the globe.  You see techniques developed at Saga Furs Design Centre in fashions shown on runways in the fashion capitals of the world.
